How Does It Work

Support is offered as a four step process.

  1. Parents (clients) are referred by a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, other organisations or self-referral.
  2. Our Coordinator will visit you in your home, get to know your needs, and explain a bit more about the Boroondara Family Network. This visit will take about half an hour.
  3. After you have discussed your needs with the Coordinator, you will be matched with a Volunteer who will visit each week. The Volunteer will give you practical and emotional support for as long as you need the service.
  4. Our Coordinator monitors progress on a regular basis.
